JG54 Greenhearts

The JG54 'Green Hearts'* are a club for hardcore Cal-Look Volkswagens. Cars in the club must run quicker than 15.99 seconds in the 1/4 mile. The original JG54 '* Grünherz' were the elite Messerschmitt squadrons in World War II. Some of the highest scoring flying aces were in the JG54. Dominic's 65

Dominic Hill , one of our club prospects , has been working on his 65 Bug , dismantling it , for a full off the pan restoration and repaint .

So far he has been very busy putting in lots of hours on the car , so heres the list of what he has been up to , to date .

The small areas of welding that were required have been carried out by Alex Taylor at DEFCON3

The body-shell was unbolted and has been lifted off the floorpan

The floorpan was stripped down and sent to be powder coated

The body shell has been taken to the paint shop

Stripped out the interior headlining all the carpet and binned it for a new interior , being trimmed by Bernard Newbury .

Cleaned all the under-seal off
