Ivan's " Other " 67

Ivan , VolksWorld editor , picked up this mint 67 Beetle a few weeks ago . He had previously owned it in 97 , buying it from the guy in Wales that had owned it from new , and only put 27,000 miles on it . Ivan sold the car on to Chris Morley , who wanted as good an example 67 Bug as he could find , to turn into a Cal-looker . Chris had the car lowered at the front , fitted with 4 wheel disc brakes and a John Maher Racing 2007cc engine was fitted . The car did 1500 miles in this guise , and then was parked up in Chris's nice dry garage in 98 . A few months ago , Chris contacted Ivan to say that he was moving and thought it was probably time to pass the car on to someone that would use it more . Ivan jumped at the chance , knowing just how mintball the 67 was . I arranged for my car transport guy to pick the car up on a Sunday morning , about a month ago , and we bought it straight to the workshop , where Ivan and myself spent a day going over the car , fitting new axle gaiters and fuel lines as these had perished . We gave the carb's a strip and clean , some fresh spark plugs were fitted and a quick tune up was in order . I MOT'd the car the next day and it went straight through .

So now Ivan has 2 awesome 67 Lookers . He has some Gas Burners to go on the car , and we fitted these today , see pic's below for the transformation .
