Gary Richard's 67

Now , I know what you're thinking ' Christ , not another bloody 67 ! '

But what can I say , we at the JG54 , love 67's , and can't get enough of them . I blame Alex ' Black Bitch ' Taylor's influence .

Gary purchased his 67 from Alex Taylor last year , and Alex has been thoroughly going though the car with Gary .

The car has had a repaint , including under bonnet , bulkhead , inner wing , under gearbox and engine bay areas . Alex de-chromed the car while he was at it ( de rigueur at Alex's workshop ) . Lucas indicators have also been fitted , as have one piece windows .

A new headlining and carpet have been fitted , and Gary scrubbed the original brown floor mats until they were spotless .

Gary loves to get his hands dirty and has been spending all his spare time , down at Alex's DEFCON3 workshop , rubbing down the floorpan inside and out , for Alex to paint it 2K Eggshell Black .

Gary had the 2165cc engine and Rancho Pro-Street gearbox from a the Beetle he owned before this 67 , and this drivetrain is going in the 67 .

Gary also stripped , rubbed down and prepared the gearbox for Alex to paint black .

The front beam has been prepared and repainted black , as well as the fuel tank , and many other parts that needed refurbishing .

The car runs on JGE Gas Burner replicas , that have been re-detailed by Alex .
