JG54 Greenhearts

The JG54 'Green Hearts'* are a club for hardcore Cal-Look Volkswagens. Cars in the club must run quicker than 15.99 seconds in the 1/4 mile. The original JG54 '* Grünherz' were the elite Messerschmitt squadrons in World War II. Some of the highest scoring flying aces were in the JG54. Chris Lincoln's 54

Being stripped down for a repaint after 13 years from it's original build . General road rash , along with a crack on the drivers door from a repair done when originally painted , means it's time for a fresh coat of paint .

Thanks to Pete Morley for sourcing a good early drivers door ( to replace repaired original )

Chris is upgrading from the 1835cc motor in the car , to a full on 2332cc monster , along with close ratio IRS gearbox .

While the car is apart , we are fabricating and fitting our CDS rear frame horn support system .

More Pic's as the work progresses ...
