Lofty's 2276

Lofty bought Shane Noone's JMR built 2276 with only 800 miles on it , for an excellent price . We are swapping the cam from an FK89 , down to a Web-Cam 86c , as Lofty will be running a 1.04 4th gear in his Rancho Pro-Comp gearbox .

What wrong with a FK89 and a 1.04 gear.

Nothing wrong with it , but it's on a 3.88 R&P and for the mostly street driving that Lofty will do , I think he would be better off with an 86c , both Neal Anderson ( 2276 ) and Big Pete ( 2332 ) , run 86c's , with great results on the street and track ( both running low 13's )

If you keep the FK89 with the 1.04 it will run a 12sec 1/4.

Unless you guys can get Udo's, I'd go with CB's newer 2 pc lifters. We've yet to see a set fail. I'm now running the CB 2295, it's the most streetable cam I've run yet. In order, I have run in my 67; Engle 110, 120, FK8, FK10, 86C, CB 2289 and CB 2295..whoa! All but the 2295 and the 110 destroyed the lifters and cams. Lanny.

I don't know how it will run a 12 , Big Pete's 66 , ran an FK87 at one stage , and it tailed off more in 4th than it did with the 86C . It didn't feel quicker on the street either .
