Thanks for the positive comment , it takes a lot of work ( 200+ hours in Max's Oval ). The engine was knackered , and needed a complete rebuild , the gearbox was not in straight , and looked as though it had been ' Bowled ' into the car , ha ha , so I straightened it all up , and put it back onto rubber mounts ( was solid ) , as Max intends a lot of street use . The tinware was also very tired , so new tin was fitted , it required a lot of modification , due to the width of the engine ( there was a half inch gap at the cylinder bases on the head tin alone ) . The rear piece I fabricated from scratch from 18 gauge steel . It all turned out great , you would never know so much cutting and shutting had been done , and the car drives great , no mechanical noise at all , due to the rubber mounts , and I've only taken it to 5000 rpm , on about an Inch of throttle ( needs some more miles on it ) ,and boy does it go , gunna be a ripper for sure .
