JG54 Greenhearts

The JG54 'Green Hearts'* are a club for hardcore Cal-Look Volkswagens. Cars in the club must run quicker than 15.99 seconds in the 1/4 mile. The original JG54 '* Grünherz' were the elite Messerschmitt squadrons in World War II. Some of the highest scoring flying aces were in the JG54. This Blog shows the JG54 club cars and other cal-look inspired pictures/comments... MAC USERS PLEASE USE SAFARI TO VIEW SITE... . FOR MORE PICTURES - CHECK THE ARCHIVES (TO THE RIGHT)...

Peter, what kind of stabilisor is that?
Secondly, please do connect the handbrake ;-)
It's an IRS rear anti roll bar , you can only use a rear anti roll bar , if the rebound stops are modified to stop wheel tuck .
You have to drill holes through the spring plate , where the IRS bar would bolt to an IRS car .
You can't use a swing axle anti roll bar , as the mounting brackets go on the frame horns , right where the intermediate mount goes .
so you're saying you can use an IRS anti roll bar on a swingle axle rear end?
if so, does this improve handling much? sounds like a quality upgrade!
You can , but YOU MUST HAVE THE REBOUND STOPS MODIFIED !!!!!
If not the anti roll bar can pull the wheels into a more tucked under position and make the car very dangerous . As long as the wheels cannot drop down more than straight upright in the wheel arches , it's OK .
